International Women’s Day 2011
This is the centenary year of International Women’s Day (IWD).
IWD (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
Thousands of events are being held around the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements.

It is inspired by the World March of Women held last year in Bukavu, DR Congo; where 20,000 people from 41 countries marched.
