Democratic Republic of Congo
The crisis in DR Congo is often known as the ‘forgotten conflict’, yet it is a war that has killed over 5 million people. People continue to be killed, raped and displaced in their hundreds of thousands in the east of the country, despite the official story that “the war is over”.
Both the government of the DRC and the rest of the world must take their responsibility to protect civilians seriously.
