Somalie

La Somalie est privée depuis bientôt vingt ans de gouvernement. Le conflit et la sécheresse ont provoqué un exode massif de réfugiés, avec plus de moitié de la population déplacée à l’intérieur du pays. Le fait que l’attention des médias occidentaux se soit polarisée sur les actes de piraterie, le commerce des armes et sur le terreau fertile que représente la Somalie pour Al-Qaeda a éclipsé les besoins des populations. Plusieurs centaines d’innocents, hommes, femmes, et enfants ont été tués ou blessés sans discrimination  par les pilonnages des différentes factions belligérantes à Mogadishu. Un enfant sur cinq de moins de 5 ans souffre de malnutrition. Les journalistes, les activistes des droits de l’homme et les travailleurs humanitaires sont régulièrement pris pour cibles, torturés ou tués.

Malgré tous les messages déshumanisants et les statistiques pessimistes, plusieurs Somaliens ont reçu ou été pressentis pour le Prix Nobel : Asha Haji et Nuruddin Farah, ainsi que Fatima Jibrell, une éminente environnementaliste. Le peuple somalien déploie dans le pays des efforts incroyables dans des circonstances extrêmes afin de garder l’espoir et trouver des solutions crédibles.

    The story of somalia is amazing. in one side there is conflict and in another side of the coin huge investment is going on by the somalis in diffrent sectors. recently one of the telecommunication industry was off;oading shares to the public and the demand was huge to the extent that the company did it without publicising .the people of somalia just needs conducive enviroment and they will change thier lives tremendoulsy with little outside assistance.(Bashir)

    the most surprising thing in Somalia is that love and hate go side by side, laugh welcomes angry and peace greets war.
    what do i mean that Somalia is not only what westrens are asuming. all of what I mentioned above exist in somalia but the world emphasizes negative signs and cover positive signs.
